How the AI agent works
Danny AI is your AI agent on WhatsApp. It replies to customers in seconds, any time of day, in their language. It answers questions from your Business Brain, sends your brochures and price lists, asks qualifying questions, follows up when customers go quiet, and hands over to your team when a person is needed.
The AI agent is included in the Flex and Empire plans, and in the ₹1 trial. See Plans.
#How a reply happens
- A customer sends a message: text, an image or a voice note (voice notes are transcribed).
- The AI reads the conversation so far, your Business Brain and your Product & Plan Files.
- It writes a reply and rates how sure it is.
- If it's sure enough, it waits a few seconds (so a team member can take over first), then sends. If it's not, it tells the customer it's connecting them with the team and hands the chat over.
#Agents and roles
You can create agents for different jobs: Sales Agent, Support Agent, Appointment Agent, Retention Agent, or a custom role you name yourself. Create one with Create Agent, choose its department and tone, review and Deploy Agent.
#Operating mode
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Autonomous | Replies to customers on its own, any time, even when nobody has the app open |
| Draft only | Never sends. A suggested reply is prepared in Team Inbox for a team member to check and send. |
| Paused | Stops answering |
Start with Draft only if you want to check the AI's answers for a few days, then switch to Autonomous.
#Style settings
Under General Settings, choose the Conversational Tone (for example Friendly, Professional, Empathetic or Direct), the Response Length (Short & Concise or Detailed & Long) and whether it can Use Emojis.
#What it costs
AI replies use your AI wallet. The AI wallet needs a balance of at least ₹20 for the AI to reply. If it runs out, customers still reach your Team Inbox and your team can reply as normal. See Billing, wallets and charges.
#Watching how it does
The Danny AI section shows AI-handled conversations, resolutions, hand-offs, knowledge gaps (questions it couldn't answer) and audit logs of its decisions. Use Identified Gaps and Add Answer to teach it what it didn't know.
