Triggers
Every flow starts with one trigger. When the trigger happens for a contact, that contact enters the flow.
| Trigger | Starts when | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Message | A customer sends a message, optionally containing certain keywords | Welcome messages, keyword replies like "PRICE" or "MENU" |
| Tag Added | A tag is added to a contact | Follow-ups after a stage changes, such as site-visit-done |
| Segment Entry | A contact joins a segment | Acting when someone becomes a hot lead or goes inactive |
| Scheduled Time | A set time, on chosen days or once on a date (Asia/Kolkata time) | Birthday wishes, weekly offers, reminders |
| Abandoned Cart | A customer leaves items in their cart without paying (by default after 60 minutes) | Recovering online sales |
| New Lead | A new lead arrives, for example from a form, an ad or an integration | Instant first response to every lead |
#Setting up a scheduled trigger
Choose the time and the days of the week. Leave all days unchecked to run every day. Or pick a single date to run only once. If the date has already passed, the flow won't run.
#Avoiding repeats
Use At most once every N days so the same contact doesn't enter the flow again too soon, for example a welcome flow that should run once per person.
Tip
Keyword triggers are case-insensitive, so "price", "Price" and "PRICE" all match.
